Finally home!

Yesterday Laney, my mom, and I drove back to Utah. We came back so that Erich could see Laney last night before he left on a camp out with the Scouts until Thursday. He was definitely excited to see his little girl. And I am extremely grateful that my mom drove back with us. She helped with the driving when I was tired and was entertaining the rest of the drive. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

Our trip was lots of fun. We spent lots of time in the water, lots of time with family, and a good amount of time shopping. (My philosophy is that it is always better to shop with family than by myself.) And Laney loved being with her cousins. She likes the attention they give her. I took her to 7 Peaks today and she was a little shocked that all the kids there didn't want to play with her. I guess she has to learn reality sometime. Here are some pictures from our trip. (Notice Laney's attire is almost all swimwear and pardon her lovely swim hair!)

This is Laney and Chloe. Chloe is my oldest brother's child and they live in Vegas. They are about 6 weeks apart. My sweet child was trying to sit on Chloe. Taking a good photo of 2 one-year-olds wasn't that easy.

That is my sister's daughter Ellie behind Laney.

Laney didn't particularly like the Popsicles, but she enjoyed the sticks in the end.

This was Laney's other favorite thing to do- steal food off of her cousin's plates. My mom always gives the older kids their own plates with food on their coffee table. Since Laney didn't have her own plate, she just stole from the big kids.
