Erich received this lovely Napoleon Dynamite doll for Christmas a few years ago from his nephew Tyler. It has been sitting on a shelf in his closet for the past year. On Saturday, I picked Laney up after a fall that caused some fake tears. She made eye contact with Napoleon, quickly pointed at him, and started talking to him. (I don't know what she was saying as I don't understand her language yet.) I made the mistake of then taking him off the shelf so she could get a better look at him. We then made the bigger mistake of teaching her how to push the red button that makes him talk. It's been love for the two of them ever since. Whenever she sees him, she gets big smile, goes and picks him up, and presses the button for a few minutes. (And lucky me gets to hear things like "gosh", "I caught you a delicious bass", and "Can you bring me my Chapstick?" all day long. The joys of motherhood.) Hopefully her next friend is not quite so strange.

I am dying with laughter over this. I had no idea they even made Napoleon dolls. Only in Utah I guess?
Whatever i feel like i wanna do, GOSH!
That is the funniest thing ever. I love that you have to listen to Napolean over and over and I get to listen to this My Little Pony say things like, "I love you mommy" over and over. Not sure which is better :)
Too funny! I love hearing Laney stories. She is so cute!
What a funny girl.
Clearly she takes after her father.
so funny, and I bet it gets even funnier for you every time!
