Alright, I feel as though we are getting desperate to find a name for this baby. I know I have a little over 3 months until she arrives but I am starting to stress about it. I am one of those people who likes to name the person growing inside of me early and I haven't yet. Because Erich and I cannot agree upon a name to say our lives.
So if any of you have a name suggestion that you wouldn't mind us using, please share. (Don't tell me any that you are going to secretly hate us for the rest of our lives because we stole your name though.) We don't have too much criteria aside from the fact that I have been a school teacher to more than a thousand kids and there are some names which just don't sit well with me anymore. And I don't want my kid to have the same name as 3 other girls in her class. So let's hear what you have.

Reese went un-named for 3 days after she was born. She was definitely a Kinsley to me, but Brad cannot stand that name. I couldn't name my daughter something that her dad would hate everytime he said it, so we used Reese instead. I know Kinsley is different, so you might not like it, but feel free if you do like it. I sure wish I could use it!
K- I love Kinsley! I also like Kinley, or MaKinley... my bro was going to name their daughter that, but it turned out their daughter was a son =)
i like the name taylor.
it is cute.
I really like Riley, Brooke, Anna, or Macy. Good luck! I have a few girl names in mind for our little one but James is sure its a girl. We will find out in a month. So we shall see.
We, of course, loved Saydie but decided on Chloe. I also really like Mia. Don't worry about stealing them, because of what we've started we can't use them anyway!
I like Annie, Olivia, Hayden, Abbey, and Sophie. Random I know.
I have a good friend named Kinsey (Kinz-ey) which is a name I think is adorable. Another favorite is Airina (Ay-rina) or Stacia (Stay-sha) and of course Karina! :) I've always loved the name Laney . . .
Mmmm. This is fun. Girl names say a lot about a person..don't you think? Let's just say that when I mentioned my top 3 girl names at our family reunion recently, Lindsey said, "Are you being serious, Kelli?" I still like them. But I think they fall under the category of "Indie" or "1950s."
Here are a few: Grace, Greta, Chloe, stella, Penelope, Audrey (or Aubrey..can't decide), Madeline. (And I also like Sophia and Isobella..but both are getting pretty popular.)
Where did you find/hear about/come up with the name Laney? That was a new one for me.
Thanks for all of the suggestions. You all have added a few names to our very short list.
On Laney, there was actually a girl on my cheer squad in high school whose name was Laney. That was the first I heard of it. Then, I discovered it again when going through a baby name book. We both liked it so it stuck!
Mandy, who on your cheer squad was named Laney? I never heard of that name in high school? Did I know her. Now I am curious who this girl was.
So I am not good with names either, but one that my sister in law used recently that I think is cute is Camryn. Also a girl in ward has two girls with different names. One is Bostyn and the other Camry. Kinda cute and different!I had never heard the Bostyn one before. But, one name I am really liking these days and maybe it is getting used too much now is Reese. Good luck. I am sure it will cute whatever you choose!
Abby's thinking about using Ginger, Pearl, Hazel, and a few others that I can't remember. Pearl is my favorite. I'm kind of surprised by Katie's list of girl names.
You know my vote, it's Betsy! Laney and Betsy, so cute, what a family legacy for your mom!
I know you did this forever ago...and I see you decided on Laney :) But, I came across your blog searching for girl baby names. In our family you have to have a name picked out before you announce your pregnancy or family members start insisting on using their names. So, we've been trying to come up with a girl name...I really like Laney!
