A perk of working

I know I have been one to complain about my job so today I am going to be positive. I went back to work on Monday. Students do not start until next week but we have had meetings and such this week. I had to work a full day Monday and today which has meant very tiring days. Aside form that, I have been trying to get everything ready for the first week of school, get everything ready for our trip to my brother's wedding, and still be a mom to Laney. So housework is what I dropped from my routine.

And this is where the perk of working outside of the home comes into play. Erich has totally picked up the slack. I forgot how helpful he is when I go to work. Today, he had de-cluttered the house, moved the few remaining boxes that needed to go to storage in the basement and bonus room, done all the dishes, and picked up all of Laney's toys. It was such a nice surprise. And it reminded me that Erich is always helpful with household tasks when I am working.

If only I could keep him that way during the summer and when I am not working. It might just convince me to work part-time forever.

That means so much, really I don't think men realize how much we appreciate when they do help out with the housework, if they learned to really work that system, they could get whatever they wanted from us!
