Leaving Laney
I am going to St. George tomorrow for a girl's weekend with some of my aunts and cousins from my mom's side of the family. My mom, sister Courtney, and sister-in-law Kamy will all be there. (We are sad Taylor can't join us.) I am very excited to see some of my family and just relax and discuss the Twilight books and eat. But I am leaving Laney home with Erich (only babies are invited) and I am sad. Aside from the 2 nights in the hospital, I have never left Laney. So I am sad to willing go on a vacation without her. She makes me laugh and likes to cuddle with me and I will miss that. I know she will be well taken care of (I wrote up a schedule, gave meals suggestions, and even made up some mac and cheese for her dinner!) I am sure the two of them will have lots of fun and not miss me a bit. But, I still feel bad about leaving my baby.

Isn't it amazing how hard it is to leave your little ones for just a couple of days? It sounds like a lot of fun though. Are you sure you don't want to stay in St. George for an extra week? I'll be there next Sunday.

I totally understand leaving little ones. I am having a hard time just letting go of Addy so she can go to the nursery. I know I am crazy! I am nervous too to leave to go to the hospital. Luckly she will have my mom here and James to keep her well entertained. Good luck! I am sure Laney and her dad will have some nice bonding time!
you are a good mom Mandy, it will be some good bonding time for her and Dad. I hope you wrote your schedule on yellow legal paper and taped it up on your cupboards! Have fun in St. George!
