2. His car
3. His car friends
4. The Wii
5. Laney
(I am sure Allie and I would be 6 and 7.)
Laney
1. Her blankies (She only has 4 of them.)
2. Allie. She always wants to hold her. Her latest is that she likes to lay on the floor and have me sit Allie on her tummy. She thinks it is so funny.
3. Me. I provide a lot of necessities in her life- I get the blankies out of bed, I give her food, I change her diaper, I sit by her while she takes a bath, and I help her hold Allie.
4. Erich. Erich plays with her and helps her do all sorts of acrobatic tricks. He lets her play Wii with him and lets her place office with him while I am at work.
5. Singing "3 little monkeys jumping on the bed." (5 monkeys is more than her attention span can handle.) We sing this song lots while in the car. We sing this song to Allie. And we sing it anytime Laney wants. Really, I sing it and Laney does the motions. She does shake her fingers and say "No, no, no, no" when the doctor says "No more mokeys jumping on the bed."
(I am pretty sure if you ask Erich, he would be number one on this list and the rest of us would follow behind!)
Allie
1. Nutramigen. Yes, Allie's favorite thing is the stinkiest formula ever made- not too mention one of the most expensive!
2. Mylicon drops. A few of these before bed time help her sleep so peacefully. And they always seem to calm her down when her tummy seems to be bothering.
3. Being swaddled like a baby burrito. No sleeping for this kid if she isn't tightly swaddled up. I am starting to wonder if she will want to be swaddled forever.
4. Me. More so then some other members of this family, I love to cuddle with her. And because of that, I like to believe she loves me!
5. Laney and Erich. I am sure she loves them and the attention they give her. I think she might wish that they showed it a little differently at times but I am sure she will grow to love it.
So, these are a few more of our favorite things. And for anyone wondering if our family is dysfunctional, we aren't. We are actually quite happy. We might compete for our kids' affection but that is all in good fun as well.

We're all about competition at our house too!
Last night Jeff was lamenting that Seth wanted a Wii since this is ending up a very expensive Christmas. I think he felt a little better when I told him the WII ranked higher on Erich's list than you and the girls
Mandy, competitive? No never. We have unspoken favorites in this house, the funny thing is it goes the same way for our children, it works. I think it will change with time, but for now we just quietly accept it!
I'm happy to hear Erich enjoys his Wii so much. I got one for Matt for Christmas. He didn't ask for one, but he is hard to shop for and I figured for once I would really surprise him with something. I have a feeling the Wii might end up surpassing me on Matt's favorites list too...
