Week in Review

I have become such a bad blogger. I blame the scrapbooking resolution- when I have some free time I am at the computer scrapbooking instead of blogging. Nonetheless, we have had some noteworthy events in the last little bit.

Erich finished up a big vinyl job he was doing. He is glad he is done because his back was starting to hurt. And now he has time to work on his car. The rest of us are glad he is done because we get to see him a little bit more.

I had to go back to work on the 3rd. Not really a fun event but still noteworthy. Yesterday was the end of the semester though which means we are half way done!!!

Laney has had lots of sleepovers in the past week and a half. One night last week, Aunt Taylor spent the night. My old roommate, Megan was here last weekend and Grandma was here on Wednesday night. Since we put the extra bed in Laney's room, they all were able to bunk up with Miss Laney. I know she loved it but I am not sure that our guests enjoyed her early morning wake-up calls. And I, as always, enjoyed having another adult around the house while all of them were here. It is always nice to have someone to talk to that really talks back in the English language.

Laney has started to talk more. She copies a lot of what we say when asked and often times thinks we are having real conversations.

And Allie seems to get easier all of the time. She is a happy little thing (except sometimes from 5-6:30 pm) and fun to have around.

Now if only someone could teach me how to teach Laney that it is not nice to hit her sister or her mom. Any suggestions? Time-out just doesn't seem to be cutting it.
