Obviously, I need to better explain to Laney what holidays are.
I am not going to lie- Valentine's Day has never been one of my favorite holidays. Maybe it is because I teach junior high and I want to throw up when I think about my students and their "relationships." And I never saw the need to have just one day to celebrate how much you love some one. So normally I don't give much notice to the day. The other day my sister was telling me about what fun things she was going to do dor her kids for Valentine's Day. It made me feel a little guilty so I decided to pick up her tradition of having chocolate fondue.
This afternoon Laney and Ethan (the son of one of my good friends from work and the neighborhood) had a little fondue party. I gave them each their own tray of food and fondue and let them enjoy. Laney seemed in heaven. She didn't love the cream puffs (Erich and I did) and she couldn't get enough strawberries. Overall, I think it was a success- a tradition I will carry on next year. And I am sure Allie will be glad she gets to partake instead of just observe then.

The fondue idea is a really cute one. I love the pictures of your girls in their Valentine's outfits. Laney's hair is getting so long!!
Laney would fit right in at our house. We love halloween every day. I'm glad the fondue was a success.
you're more romantic than you thought Miss Mandy! Your girls look adorable, I can't believe Laney didn't get chocolate on her shirt, and I love the valentine's shirts, especially Allie's!
Your girls are so cute in their Valentine shirts! Happy Valentine's day!
