HELP!!! The monkey is at it again.

She learned to climb out of her crib this afternoon. What do I do? Do we move her to a bed? Do we try to keep her in a crib? And how do I keep her from coming out every 30 seconds?

You put the cover on the doorknob (you can buy them somewhere) so she can't get out of her room. Of course you child proof it, (knowing Laney she will find something to climb on). She might give up and climb back into her crib, or fall asleep on the floor. You will go crazy without some peace and quiet while she sleeps.

I am in the same boat as you, only Ellie is a little older! I give up! She is back in her crib, we have given up the big girl bed...at least for now. In the crib once we get her to sleep, she stays asleep. In the big girl bed she takes walks during all hours of the night! Let me know if you find something that works!

they make crib tents and pajamas that hold their legs together, this is the advice so many people gave me, but what I did was tie (with a necktie of Travis') Hallie's legs (very humanely I promise) together until she fell asleep, then I'd take it off. This worked for a little while, then I couldn't take it anymore because she could still get out and I put her in a portacrib in my room. That really isn't the best solution, but it was the only one I could sleep with!

we have loved our transition to a big boy (toddler) bed! we did it right before cole turned two. If you're not ready for that, I've also heard good things about the crib tents. good luck!

Mandy,

I am glad Addy has not started that yet, but I am sure it is coming here in the near future. My mom had a climber (my brother) and I remember her using a crib tent with him. He unfortunantly for her learned how to unzip it from the inside and he still managed to get out! Crazy! Good luck with Laney

My mom use to tie a ribbon around my ankle and tie the other end to the crib. It worked... I wasn't able to climb into my younger brothers crib or out of mine. These days someone might cry child abuse or claim it was a choking hazard, I lived through it.

How are you Mandy, I was reading Courtneys blog... so come and visit, soon. You are always invited.

Darling Girls... I am a little jealous.

Yeah, I'd relate if Lucy even slept in a crib!
No advice here, but you already knew that. :)
