I have mentioned before that Laney is in to everything and all over the place. Our lack of kitchen chairs at the kitchen table proves it. Well, today Laney proved it once again.
It was about 5 and I put Allie in bed for a short nap. Laney, of course then wanted to play on my bed. In an attempt to be a good mom, I obliged her. She thought we should play some steamroller. She steamrolled right over me and on to the floor. Unfortunately, her head hit the bookcase first. I jumped up after I heard the thud. I grabbed her and then saw the blood. I called Erich in a panic. We decided that I should call my Aunt Adrienne who is also a nurse at my pediatrician's office. She always solves our problems. She told me to hurry down and they would take care of her. And that they did. 3 stitches, some glue and steri-strips and my girl is all better. I am sure she was more upset about being restrained by her parents and the nurse then hitting her head because that was the only time she was upset. Now if I can keep her from rubbing her head and a million things then we will be in luck.

You can't really tell in this picture but it appears that a lovely bruise is also developing. She will be looking pretty this week!

Poor baby!
Poor girl!
poor Laney, but stitches are good, they help with scar control, Dallas had a bad one once that I should have had stitched, and I didn't and I've always felt bad about the scar.
Poor Laney, it is always scary when there is blood involved!
I came back by to see if you had something new today, you didn't so I just looked closer at the same pic and realized how great the expression is on Laney's face, aside from the huge owie, too cute.
I am so sorry. Not to scare you but Jack got stitches and he still has a scar. This is probably the first of many. It gives them character. Give her a kiss for me.
