Sick

Happy Easter! I will get to that in another post. Back to my subject:being sick. When I came home from work on Friday, Erich declared that he thought he was getting Laney's sickness. I cringed. Not because I feared I would get it. Or because the flu grosses me out, but because having a sick husband is the worst thing in the world. For two days, he whined to me and acted as though he couldn't move a muscle. (Mind you, he never threw up he just felt like he might and he was sooo tired.) He needed me to change the DVDs because he couldn't get up. And though he could walk right past the fridge, he still needed me to get him his ice water. I wanted to throw up. Not because I was sick but because he was acting like such a baby. Laney took the flu better than Erich. And I really wanted to tell him that I have felt like that before. And that it lasted for 9 months. And in the end I had to push almost 8 pound babies out of me. Yet for those entire 9 months, I cooked, cleaned, worked, washed and ironed. But I tried to smile.

Really I love him. I just wish that he didn't ever have to get the flu again.

I think you'll get a resounding "amen sistah" from all of us women out here. It is sooooooo much worse for me when Jason is sick than ANY of us, I'D rather be sick... I mean, I don't get the same sympathy he requires, but still!!! This post cracked me up, it is so true. When we both got the flu at the same time, and he was in bed-- he said "ive never felt this sick before"... my comment " I have, and it lasted for about the first 7 months of my pregnancy!!!" To which, he rolled his eyes... he thinks I play the pregnancy card a lot, but I'm so glad he felt that awful cuz it was really close to being pregnant! Now he has a bit of a taste to be miserable, for a week, but whatever! I know this is long, but I was laughing so hard when I read that... because we all know MEN ARE BABIES! (And wait until you have a little boy, they are born with it...)

that makes me laugh, Travis is also a total baby when he is sick. When we were first married I thought it was cute and used to totally baby the boy, now I tell him to get over it and take care of himself. Too funny, that totally made me laugh. Especially since he never even threw up!
