This week

I don't know where time goes. The past week has been busy. Wednesday was the Shabby Apple party. It was fun but it really made me wish I had unlimited funds to spend on dresses for my girls.

Friday we attended the funeral of my cousin. The funeral was very nice but sad just the same. He leaves behind a wife and 5 kids along with parents, brothers, a sister, and many friends. It was a nice celebration of his life and a good reminder to live life a little better and love my family a little more. We did get to see many family members that day though, including my parents, Casey and Kamy, Courtney and Chase, and Craig and Taylor.

Friday night Laney got the stomach flu. Court and Chase were staying at my house and our friends Kavin, Danielle, and Ethan were over. They all were able to witness Laney vomiting all over the floor. It was lovely. Funny thing is Courtney and Danielle both have discussed it in great detail since! While the throwing up has since stopped, she still has some lingering effects of the flu. She is still a little lethargic and is a little more prone to want her mommy but I don't complaon about that. So the past few days we have been taking it easy to accomodate the sickie. Luckily, no one else has been infected.

This week, Allie also learned one of the most important skills a baby can learn- to hold her own bottle. Oh, how it makes this mom happy. I still hold her and the bottle primarily when she eats but sometimes it is nice to have her hold it while I am changing her diaper or helping Laney.

Here is hoping for a healthier week ahead.

poor little Laney, but don't they look sweet when they are sick? That is so sad about your cousin, it makes me so upset. I really worry about things like that. I hope his wife finds peace and happiness in the rest of her life.
