Meet Laney and Allie

This post is for my youngest brother John. He is currently serving a mission in Baltimore, Maryland and comes home next week. Every week, I copy and paste parts of my blog for him when I send him emails. And so, I write this post to John because he comes home next week I want him to feel like he knows them. (Maybe this is because when he called us on Mother's Day, he had to ask Craig what my baby's name was.) Laney was not quite one month old when John left and Allie was not yet a thought in our heads. So John, meet my girls.

This is Laney. Maybe when you see her next week, you will actually hold her. She is no longer breakable- ask anyone who has spent 30 minutes with her. She is crazy. She runs and jumps and dances and seems to have no fear. She loves to eat; she does it almost constantly. She loves fruit and peas and carrots and fishes and bees and especially gookies! She likes to take her clothes off (she definitely doesn't get this from me.) She loves to accessorize with everything and anything she can find. Laney loves to be outside. She is often telling me "go" or "outside". Laney likes to watch shows, especially Elmo. And luckily, she is very loving. She will cuddle with me on the couch and is willing to give hugs and kisses to anyone who gives her a little attention. I think you two will get along just fine!

This is Allie- Allie Jane to be exact. She isn't breakable either. At seven months, she weighs more than 15 pounds and has taken much abuse from her sister so I know you cannot break her. She is all smiles. Even with a double ear infection today, she is extremely happy. She crawls all over the place and has started to pull herself up on everything. She loves to be kissed on her neck. She likes to eat as well- just baby food for her though. (She does try to sneak in anything Laney leaves on the floor.) She likes anything with a cord or a battery and puts all items in these categories, directly in her mouth. She also likes feet- her own and any others that she sees. (Must get that from her dad.) All in all, she is content to be here and be able to watch what is going on in the world. I think you will enjoy her cuddly little being as well.

So John, that is my girls. Can't wait for you to meet (or re-meet) them next week. I am sure they will be your favorite nieces just like I am your favorite sister!
