Not just any cookie

I am not going to lie- cookies are my weakness. I love cookies and I love cookie dough. Up until about a year ago, I tried not to make cookies very often. But pregnancy cravings got the best of me and I started to make cookies quite frequently. And I haven't been able to stop. (I blame the lingering weight from Allie around my waist on this bad habit.) Every week or two I make some cookies. Erich, Laney, and I all seemed to enjoy them. Today I discovered that Laney has enjoyed this way too much.

My mom has some of those shortbread Girl Scout cookies in her freezer. When Laney wants a treat, I give her one of those cookies. On Sunday, my mom made sugar cookies that I tried to hide from Laney. Well, she wasn't going to settle for second best. After dinner tonight, I went to the freezer and took a delicious sugar cookie out for myself and a shortbread cookie out for Laney. She looked at them and then took a bite of her cookie. She promptly threw it on the floor, went to the freezer, and said cookie. I've created a cookie snob.

Who doesn't prefer homemade sugar cookies to shortbread? I'm a little upset you would try to trick her like that!
