I know that the Olympics don't start for another month but I have already found a few heroes.
1. Dara Torres- 41 and going to the Olympics in swimming for the fifth time. She has a 2 year old. And retired twice. Motivating me to get in shape and get rid of my extra baby weight. (Yes, I know my baby is 9 months old.)
2. Eric Shanteau- Found out he had cancer a week before the Olympic trials. Still went to them. Qualified in the 200m breaststroke. He's going to Beijing as long as the cancer doesn't seem to spread in the next month. I am sure some people think he is crazy. But I think it's cool. My youngest brother John is going on five years cancer free. One of the things that helped John get through his cancer was basketball. If swimming gets Shanteau though cancer, more power to him.
Maybe I should start the countdown for Beijing- I love the Olympics.

I love the Olympic's too! I am a fan of Torres too, amazing. And I hadn't heard about the other guy. Very impressive, I will definitely watch for him!

I'm needing something to do right now and feeling kinda lazy so I remembered this blog entry and I think I'm going to try and watch little videos about these two. Thanks for the tip.
