Christmas Cookie Excahnge
I really want to have a Christmas cookie exchange. (Yes, I am crazy.) Have any of you ever been to one? How did yours work? Anything you liked or didn't like about it?

Everyone brought a big plate/container of cookies and copies of our recipe. The hostess supplied bags and ribbon for us to wrap cookies in to take home. It was really fun!
Sounds like fun, wish I was there to join you!
We do it every year in Relief Society. You bring the number of cookies as those participating and you submit your recipe before hand so you go home with cookies and recipes.
All I have to say is I'd better be invited! And I've always wanted to have one too, I think we need prizes, you could have it like a couples party and a husband or two could be judges, I would volunteer to make some prizes. It's on baby.
We used to do it in one of my California wards. Everyone brought a plate of cookies (I think they told us the number of cookies to bring) as well as copies of the recipe. We also did an ornament exchange at the partyy which I liked better than the cookie part. The hostess also served munchies.
oohh, maybe I'll make it to town so I can come. Love Nancy's idea- I also went to one with an ornament exchange- done white elephant style- and it got really fun and really competitive! Cookie exchange is fun- definitely include the recipes.
I love your family Halloween picture! Your girls looked darling!
I remember talking to Nancy in the past about the cookie exchange idea.. SUch a good idea, especially if you LOVe cookies! I have always heard bring the recipe with the cookies, but the ornament idea is cute too!
my ward does one every year.. they are great. i recommend inviting close friends who's kitchens you know are clean!!!
