I love Halloween.
This is a new revelation for me. I think the last time I went trick or treating was 1989 maybe 1990. That's right, up until last night Laney and Allie had never been trick or treating. They were little and didn't understand so I didn't take them. Don't get me wrong, they had costumes and we always went to a part or two just not to get candy.
But Laney finally picked up on it this year and has made Halloween so fun. Quite a few of our neighbors put up Halloween decor outside and so we have to go on daily walks to see the big pumpkins. And since Trunk or Treat last week, Laney has wanted to wear her costume all the time. I made her wait until yesterday though.
Laney has a couple Halloween shirts and while I don't put them on her everyday usually by the end of her naptime, she has one of them on.
When I took the girls on a long walk yesterday morning, Laney would screech pumpkins, spiders, ghosts anytime we would see a house decorated. I am pretty sure anyone on the road thought she was nuts.
Last night we met up at Barro's Pizza with a bunch of friends. Then we went trick or treating. We did a condensed version as the girls are little but Laney seemed to love it nonetheless. And she is very interested in her candy.
I am not sure she is going to be able to wait another year for Halloween to come again.
And on another note, can some tell me how to get Laney to look at the camera. She is great at looking at the ground in the general direction of the camera, just no looking at the camera.
And Nancy and Steph, hopefully you guys have a cute picture or two of the actual trick or treating for me.

I think it was the year of the witches! Your girls look so cute.
It was fun seeing you the other day. We'll all have to get together again sometime and let my giants play with your midgets:)

Your girls are cute...Ellie keeps referring to them as her "sisters"! It was a fun Halloween, I am glad we came to AZ. I will send you some pics soon!
