While I love to see my baby learning new things, I am not sure I am ready for her independence and outsmarting. For example, Laney thinks she should dress herself and then she whines and cries when she is having a hard time. When I try to help, she runs as if to say she can do it herself. And I child who used to sleep so well has had some issues of late. And tonight when she snuck out of bed, she headed directly to my parent's room to watch a little basketball with her knowing full well he would never tell on her.
But every once in a while she does or says something that makes me laugh. This morning we went to say good-bye to Erich. He was saying his prayers. When I informed Laney that is what he was doing, she quickly folded her arms and closed her eyes. Her prayer consisted of three words. . . snacks. . . cousins. . .amen. I guess I know where I stand.
