Vegas

Friday morning, the girls and I packed up and left for Vegas.  My mom was already there with Casey, Kamy, and kids, and John and Stephanie came down for the weekend as well.  Laney loved being with COUSINS!  And we had an action-packed few days.  Here is a run-down of the weekend.

• We had one bloody nose on our drive there.  Laney tossed a book in the car that hit Allie dead on in the nose.  And then the blood came.
• Allie only managed to get herself out of the pack and play once.  I still don't know how she did it.  But when I went to retrieve the obviously upset kid, she was walking around her cousins' room.
• I only had 2 awake children at 4 in the morning.  And yes one went back to bed while the other watched shows while I tried to sleep on the couch next to her.
• Laney asked about 10 times to go back to sleep yesterday morning and as we would lay down she would quickly change her mind and tell me she wanted to go play with her cousins.
• I only had 4 pieces of cake- one at a bridal shower for a family friend, one at Claire's birthday party, one at a wedding party for my cousin Katie, and one as a bedtime snack. Plus one mini cupcake. Can you say sugar headache?
• My mom and I give Farkle five stars.  Fun game that requires little time.  Try it out.
• I love to go to Casey and Kamy's because Laney plays by herself so amazingly well there.  Friday afternoon she played outside for a long time and during the party she went to the playroom when she needed a break.
• I was able to laugh with/at my mom with two of her sisters.  If anyone has ever heard my mom or any of her sisters laugh, they will get the significance of that.  I am glad Katie is getting married so that we can see family!
• Today we were re-routed through Laughlin instead of the Hoover Dam because of some fire.  My kids did not enjoy the extra 90 minutes in the car but they were still super travelers.
