Laney as of late

She is my expert swimmer. She can jump off the board and swim the whole length of the pool. I finally feel like I don't need to be within 2 feet of her while we are in the pool.

She if finally figuring out the potty training thing. It's about time.

She loves to play trains and race cars by herself while Allie takes a nap.

She has a new obsession with The Little Mermaid. Sometimes she even asks me to sing the songs while the show is on. And while I do know ALL the words to the whole movie, I am still trying to hide my former obsession with the movie.

She loves, loves, loves, her family. She is constantly talking about her cousins and how they are her friends. She can't get enough of John and Stephanie, and the other day when I asked her who loved her the most she said, "Tay?" I told her no and she then replied, "Uncle Gay?" Again, I told her no. Third time was a charm when she figured out it was me!

She can be a little bit of a homebody. When I am going to run errands, she often tells me she wants to stay home with daddy or grandma. Though she is excited to start pre-school in a few weeks.

She never ceases to amaze me with her memory. It's almost a little scary.

Most of all, I love her. Even with her meltdowns and independence, I feel lucky that she is mine.

Kate likes me to sing Little Mermaid too. They are very fascinated by the idea of reenacting the movie in the pool. We can't wait to live a little closer to Laney girl!

Maybe some day you can show her how to put a ring around her legs and swim like Arielle. Not that we ever did that... :)
