Both of these conversations occurred at our house yesterday.
Laney: Mom, what day is it?
Me: Sunday.
L: So can we play outside?
M: Nope, not today.
L: Mom, what day is it?
M: It's Sunday, Laney.
L: So can we go swimming?
M: No, not today.
L: But I really want to go swimming.
M: Sorry Laney, we can go tomorrow.
L: What day is it mommy?
M: Laney, it's still Sunday.
L: Can I go potty today?
M: Yes, Laney, you can go potty today.
Maybe we should have a lesson on the Sabbath day.
Allie: Mom, it's not nice to cut people, is it?
Me: Nope, it's not. That could hurt someone and we don't want to hurt other people.
Allie: But Ammon can. He can cut those guys arms, right mom?
Me: Umm, sure Allie. He was allowed to cut those guys arms.
