Once Nixon was finally here, Erich left to pick up the girls from my parent's house to come and meet their new brother. They were excited beyond belief when they arrived at the hospital. Unfortunately, the nursery had taken him to bathe him. They were able to peek at him through the window. When visiting hours had ended, Nixon was still not back. I felt bad for the girls (And my parents who had tried to come see him but missed him as well.) I said good-bye to Erich and the girls and off they went.
About 5 minutes later, I heard familiar voices in the hallway. Erich, Laney, Allie, and Nixon were all on
their way back to the room. They only stayed for a few
minutes but the girls were so EXCITED to finally meet their b
aby brother.
On Friday, John and Stephanie came to visit as well. They brought me lunch and
Steph snuggled Nixon the whole time they were there. (John doesn't do newborns). They were kind enough to stay long enough so that I could get a shower in. It was nice to have a little company during the day- even if it is only because they are trying to be the favorite aunt and uncle.
