Sunday Erich, Laney, Allie and I returned from a week long trip to AZ. It was my spring break so we decided it was time to enjoy the warm weather and off we went. We were able to get some stuff done for the new business and enjoy time with family and friends. Some of the best things about the trip were:
- Being with family. My girls love their cousins. Laney thinks she is 4 just like her girl cousins. And Chase and Allie seemed to have bonded. Laney really loves her Grandma and Grandpa though. I cannot tell you how many times we hear Gandma around here. I am pretty sure Laney would be content to be with my mom forever!
- Laney learning some new words. One was "Uh oh. Fishes bye-bye." My parent's computer screen saver has fishes on it. Laney loved to look at it and then hit a button to make the screen saver turn off. And she thought all of us should be there to witness the fishes going bye-bye. The other was "Wata" She loved the water. Luckily Grandma doesn't think it is too cold to get in the pool yet. And she thought the sprinklers were great as well. One night, Courtney, my mom, and I took the kids to Westgate to let them play in the fountains. I forgot my camera but a good time was had by all. (Especially when COurtney and her kids had some ice cream to enjoy!)
- Seeing old friends. One afternoon, the girls and I were able to get together with some of my lifelong friends. I forgot the camera there as well, but Dawn, Dusty, Nancy, Stephanie, and Lynsi were great company. We had a good lunch while the kids entertained themselves.
- Being able to celebrate Laney's birthday with family. I made Elmo cupcakes and took them to the friend's lunch. I made enough for Courtney's kids to enjoy with Laney as well.
- Wearing shorts all week long. Since it snowed in Utah 3 times the week before we left, this was an added treat.
- Laney's curls. Because Laney insisted on being in the water a lot. Her hair was especially curly. I love it.
I love spring break. It is always hard to go back to work after a nice vacation!

That is pretty bad that you have that many cut pics of Laney and none of allie. I love the one of Laney eating her cupcake.
It was so fun to see you and your cute girls! Pretty soon you will be able to wear shorts year round!
Looks like Laney is going to have an easy time adjusting to the move!
Also, great job on the Elmo cupcakes!!!
