- We went to Vegas for John and Stephanie's wedding. It was perfect. My whole family was there plus quite a few aunts and uncles and such. Some our closest family friends were there as well. My grandpa sealed them in the Las Vegas temple and did an amazing job. And the reception was a blast. Laney was having the time of her life. And my favorite Aunt Barb, whose house we stayed out, left the reception early and took Allie home with her to put her to bed so I could relax and have fun.
- We went to St. George with my sister Courtney and her family, my sister-in-law Kamy and her kids, and my mom. Laney was so excited to have a sleepover with her cousins. Every morning when she woke up and realized we were still having a sleepover she would get so excited. We swam lots to wear the kids out, did a little shopping, and just hung out.
- We, as in the Tropical Sno business we run, survived the 4th of July. We like to think of the 4th of July as shave ice's day after Thanksgiving sales to the retail business. It's crazy. All the work before and the crazy linea the night of and all the work after wears me out (and burns me out). Luckily it ends up being worth it! And luckily the local country club has fireworks that my parents can take the girls to enjoy!
- My children have turned themselves into fish. We go swimming almost everyday. Sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. And after spending hours in the pool, they want to spend forever in the bath as well.
- Laney has pretty much taught herself to swim. She will jump off the board and swim to the side 25 times in a row.
- Allie thinks she is a world class singer. Frequently she belts out Twinkle, Twinkle or some other song in her loudest voice.
- I enjoyed a girls night to see The Proposal. It was hilarious. And so nice to just go out with friends.
- I learned that poor Allie doesn't have a chance of being tall. When we went to the doctor, they reported that she was 5% for height. Looks like she will be about 5 foot and a half inch just like her momma.
- We went to see Wicked. I had never seen it before. I loved it. And the girl playing Glenda the Good Witch was so funny.
- We are surviving the 115 degrees. I really love AC.
- Laney continues to give me a run for my money. Man, she has got some spunk to her. The other day I jokingly said, "I don't know where we got her." My mom matter of factly said, "Would you like me to pull out your journals from when you were that age." I guess it's payback but really I wouldn't want her any other way.
- I thought the girls were turning over a new leaf and starting to sleep since they hadn't been getting me up until 6:30 or 7 every morning but today Laney was in my face at 5:45 so maybe not.
- Erich has been tuning some cars down here and sometimes the driveway looks like we are in the move Fast and the Furious.
- And now I am starting to get everything ready for the coming school year. I can't believe it starts in just over a month. So sad.
Well, I think that about covers the last month of our lives. I will try to get some pictures up sooner than later.

Love the update! I still laugh when I think about The Proposal...like Lyns, I am looking forward to the next girls night. Think we can find a movie as funny as The Proposal?
