Allie Jane

Allie will be two in less than two months. Really, where did my baby go? Unfortunately, she is 1 going on 5. She thinks she is very independent and that she can do anything Laney can do.

She likes to play in the water. She loves to stick her face in the water and just hang out until she needs her next breath. A little weird, but very cute.

She is scared of most animals. In fact, she can sometimes be scared of people. She is definitely my shy child.

While she sings and talks a ton, she will never do it on command and rarely does it in public anyway.

She likes to color.

She has a new favorite toy- a smalled stuffed animal kitty cat. It is pretty much equivalent to Laney's monkey.

If you saw her, you might think her thumb tasted like candy because it is pretty much always in her mouth. Erich, my dad, and my brother Brad really think she needs to break the habit. And while I know she probably does, I think it is too cute and convenient to do anything about it yet.

She eats a ton and will be at your side within seconds if you have food.

She loves to say prayers and is good at cutting anyone's prayer short by saying, "Name of Jesus Christ, Amen."

She makes the funniest little faces. Sometimes it's hard to get mad at her because she just smiles big at me.

I love her too. Even when she clings to me, I can't seem to get enough of her.

I think the thumb is cute but it'll be hard to break the habit when you have too.

cute pics of the kiddos, I second that the thumb habit is hard to break because you can't take it away! I even tried that nail polish stuff with Hallie, and she would just say, it's spicy, and put it back into her mouth!

That's so funny that she cut's off people's prayers! I might have the steal that the next time Laurie is getting verbose.

She is a doll! I would have to 3rd the thumb habit. I see kids at school with lisps that still suck their thumbs! :) We finally broke the nail-biting habit in kindergarten with Kyle with Mavala (we had to order it online). We tried everything else and that's the only thing that worked! (Just my two cents - which you probably didn't care to know anyway!)
