Gospel Teaching

I do not claim to be any sort of expert in parenting. I am far from it. But I do try to teach my girls right from from and about my religious beliefs. We pray and try to read scriptures daily. We go to church and on good weeks have FHE.

And everyone once in a while, my kids surprise me. Like last Saturday as I was explaining to the girls that Paigey was sick and we needed to make sure that we remember her in our prayers. Allie quickly said, "I say prayers for Paigey." And then she said a pray that sounded like this, "Heavenly Father, thanks nice day. Pray for Paigey. She feel better. Name of Jesus Christ, Amen." It made me feel good.

And then sometimes, I am caught a little off-guard by my kids. Like the other day when they were playing in the backyard. I could tell they both had a rock and were messing around. Next thing I know, I heard Laney say, "Get your Liahona, Allie." I couldn't help but laugh. And I just turned on Harry Potter for Laney and when Dumbledore came on the screen, I asked, "Who is that?" She matter of factly replied, "Heavenly Father."

I guess we still have a way to go with them!

That is so fun and so nice to know that occasionally they listen to us.

that is funny, I guess Dumbledore does look a little like Heavenly Father and Santa Claus too! Glad to see you blogging twice in one week. Go Mandy!
