More help please

You all are very insightful when I am need answers to my questions. Thus, I am coming with more questions.

So, I am always looking for new recipes and things to cook. Right now I am looking for a pasta salad recipe. I have tried some that I liked, made up my own, and now I want to try something new. So anyone have a good pasta salad recipe?

And, we have suddenly become the owners of a new bar-b-que. Neither of us really knows how to bar-b-que. So do any of you, have any tips or good recipes for that?

Thanks!

Unfortunately I'm going to be no help when it comes to any questions about food or cooking, unless your question involves eating out. I'll have to defer to Lindsey on this one!

One of my favorites has whole wheat pasta, sun dried tomatoes, broccoli, Parmesan cheese, pine nuts, and a chicken. I then drizzle the top with olive oil. I also Love using couscous, plain yogurt, raisins, sliced almonds, celery, scallions, chicken and lots of curry powder. Those are some ideas off the top of my head. I love pasta salad...I will give it some more thought.

I love penne pasta with thinly sliced sun dried tomatoes, feta cheese, chopped artichoke hearts, and lots of cilantro. Toss with Newman’s own olive oil and vinegar dressing with salt and pepper.

A shortage of recipes is one problem I do not have. I could email you all of our favorite pastas and salads if you like. One simple salad that we love is a take-off of CPK's bbq chicken salad: lettuce, black beans, corn, tomatoes, olives, tortilla strips and shredded chicken breast soaked in bbq sauce all tossed in ranch dressing. The real question is how many recipes do you want?

My fav. pasta salad dressing is wishbone italian with mayo. I just eyeball it, no exact measurements here, maybe a 1/2 cup mayo to a cup or so of dressing, stir virgorously with wisk to get it all emulsified. Then I like chopped olives, bell peppers, red onion, feta, and pepperoni.

one more thing, can't forget to sprinkle a little of Betsy's fav. salad supreme on the salad.

Ok, I misunderstood. I wasn't thinking pasta salad. Our staple is pasta, tomatoes, olives, artichoke hearts, feta cheese, diced red pepper, salami (optional) and Bernstein's Garlic and Cheese Italian dressing. There is also the classic Caprese: grape tomatoes, fresh mozzarella balls (the little ones), julienned basil and balsamic vinaigrette. It looks like you have quite a few to try now. Good luck!

Thanks for your suggestions. We might have to try one a week. But Linds, I have an idea for you. Why don't you post a recipe a day or week or so on your blog! I think it would be fun for the rest of us.
