Rhythm and Blues

Lately Laney seems to have found her rhythm. Whether it be her delightful musical toys, my very lovely singing, or other noises I make, when she hears a beat she perks up a bit. She will first look for the source of the music. Then she will bounce a bit. And if she is really feeling the music she will do some shoulder movements. It makes me smile. I love watching her start to develop a little personality. It makes me wonder what she will be like in a year or two or five. (I hope she is a better dancer than I ever was!)

Unfortunately, she has also found some blue--all around her forehead her forehead with a little black mixed in on occasion. I don't know what the problem is but it seems like everyday she bangs her head on something else that causes a light bruise to her forehead. In the past week some of her victims have been: the bookshelves, the bathtub, the stairs at one of Daddy's houses, the chapel door, the wall, and I am sure countless others. I can't wait for her to grow out of this phase. I don't want DCFS called on us. Here is a sample of her head after the first major incident last week.

Oh yeah, I think Laney will be rivaling Ella in the dancing department very soon! That picture is ADORABLE even with that sad bruise.

Mandy,

We need to get our girls together. Addy has been a dancer since she was just a few weeks old. We love turning on music for her...its like the world stops and she starts to move. Kids are so funny! BTW...Laney is sooooo cute! I hope we can meet her soon.

Mand-the bruises will stop at some point, but hopefully not the dancing! Maybe High School Musical X ?

Mandy,

What did you decide to do for your Blue and Gold Hawaiian themed centerpieces? Now I need some good ideas to steal.

Emily-

We are making palm trees out of paper towel rolls and green construction paper. We are also cutting our flowers from tissue paper. They were ideas from our Roundtable.
