Last night we were able to attend the wedding reception of a friend. It was outside and the weather was just about perfect. All Laney wanted to do was walk around so we watched her do that and we were able to catch up with some friends. Here is a photo of us and surprisingly Erich is smiling in it! Yes, Laney's dress had water all over it. Garrett, Erich's good friend and Laney's supposed godfather, was trying to give Laney some water. It didn't work out so well. She didn't seem to care too much.
And we have had a relaxing Sunday. After church and meetings, I took a nap and Erich watched the dumbest movie I have ever seen, The League of Extraordinary Gentleman. Luckily I only saw parts of it. If I was him, I wouldn't have made it past the first 15 minutes. And tonight we went on a nice walk. We stopped by our friends' house and they were making chocolate chip cookies. I was able to indulge with a little cookie dough and it was so good. It makes me miss making chocolate chip cookies. Now I just cheat and buy Otis Spunkmeyer cookie dough at Costco. While the cookies are delicious, frozen premade dough just isn't the same!
Lucky for me, my weekend gets to continue for one more day. I am taking tomorrow off so Erich can go back to Tooele and actually race his car. It is my birthday present to him. I also benefit as my kids at school are a little crazy and developing attitudes about how they shouldn't have to do anything because school is almost out. I need a break from them.

The dress looks cute - I think I have to lose some weight before I wear mine or people are going to think I'm pregnant too. Nice of Erich to smile for a change and of course Laney looks adorable.
Such a cute picture! I am glad that you and Laney had some girl time.
How fun to know your neighbors and be able to go for a walk in May and not die of heat! I'm thinking we're moving to Utah in the future!
Anyone who teaches Junior High deserves an apron. Let me know if you don't win the blogger mom giveaway and we'll work out something for you. I'd love for you to have one of my aprons.
