- Monday- Erich and Laney were able to spend the day together as I had to go in to work. Usually, I hate to go to work in the summer but that day it didn't seem to bad. I was productive and had fun with some of my friends from school. Erich told me he enjoyed spending the whole day with Laney as well.
- Tuesday- I have absolutely no recollection of Tuesday. I blame it on 2 things- it must have been a boring day and I am pregnant and easily forget things.
- Wednesday- We had a fun 4th of July. I of course didn't take any pictures because I never think to take them on important occasions. We went to a bar-b-que at my Aunt Adrienne's house with some other relatives. The food was great, we laughed a lot, and even played some games. Laney was able to share a cotton candy Italian ice with me and she loved it. We came home and watched the Stadium of Fire fireworks with some friends at the park.
- Thursday- Laney and I went to 7 Peaks with some of my cousins and their kids. As always, we had lots of fun. I always want to take pictures of Laney there but never do as I feel it is a safety risk to my child. She thinks she can swim so I have to closely monitor her to make sure she doesn't drowned. We spent a lot of this day going up and down the stairs on the platform in the kiddie pool. (Laney is just learning to go down stairs and wanted to practice lots!) My cousin's daughter Elllie even helped Laney go down the slide in the kiddie pool. Laney loved it.
- Friday- Laney and I ventured to Ikea. My old roommate Megan came down from Rexburg for the day to join us. We had lots of fun and found some good things. Most importantly, I bought Laney this sweet tent. My nephew Seth used to have one and Erich thought Laney would enjoy it as well. She does. ( More on the tent in another post.) That night, we had a family outing to Outback, Toys R Us, and Best Buy. It was some fun family time. After Laney went to bed, our friends Jermey and Amanda came over to play the Wii.
- Saturday- Aside from going to the grocery store, Laney and I spent most of our day at home. We had to recover from our busy week.
- Sunday- Laney had her first nursery experience. Technically, Laney can't go for another 3 months but they were short on help today and asked if I would go help. I said sure and off Laney and I went. Laney seemed to enjoy it. She struggled a little bit with being the youngest, and smallest, kid in there but she survived. She did like snack time. Come October, I think she will be ready for the nursery! More importantly, Laney showed us how much kids learn by example. We were about to pray before dinner tonight and I turned to Laney and said, fold your arms, she did. I am not going to lie, it isn't something I really have worked on with Laney even though I should be. But I guess she watches the rest of us enough that she is learning what to do. It only lasted for about the first 3 seconds of the prayer but we are working on baby steps, right? And don't worry, I tested her about 10 other times to see if it was a fluke and it wasn't. (Sorry the picture isn't great but I think you get the idea. Once Laney sees the camera she stops any activity and comes to get the camera!)
We hope this upcoming week is as fun as the past week. We are expecting some fun visitors part of the week and I am sure we will head to 7 Peaks at least a few times!

I can't tell if she is folding her arms and being reverent, or if she has a toy dropping a beat and she's busting some freestyle.
She could be Diddy's next project.
Sounds like a very eventful and fun week! If I come to Utah can I go to 7 Peaks with you?
I tried to get Cole to fold his arms this morning... No such luck! I think maybe we need to pray a little more often in our house.
She's getting so old! Good luck with the climbing. I can't believe it, but we're NOT there yet. I don't mind if he waits this one out a bit!
I love her folded arms! It is amazing what kids pick up!
Wait til she starts praying to go to Disneyland everyday... it's pretty funny to see what little kids can come up with.
