Third Trimester

I have reached my third trimester. That means I am 67% of the way done with this pregnancy. I can't believe it. This pregnancy has gone a lot faster than the my pregnancy with Laney. I think I know what to expect more (ie, I know what labor, deleivery, and recovery are!). And its summer break and that always seems to make things go by faster.

I look forward to being not pregnant. But that also means I will turn into a mother of 2. And people often ask me if I am scared or nervous to have this other child. And I am not. I am more scared of my life with 2 teenage girls than I am of my life with 2 children under the age of 2. But the number of people who have asked this leads me to believe that maybe I should be more scared about the birth of this second child. I guess maybe in October, I will understand their concern. But for now, I will enjoy the fact that I only have 3 more months of pregnancy until I can meet this sweet little girl.

Yay - you're in the home stretch now! I would be more scared of the teenage phase than the baby phase too. I'm sure you will do fabulous with two little ones.

You'll be getting no sympathy from me on the teenage girl thing. We can't wait to meet her!

Wow, you figured out the percentage and everything, I couldn't do that if I tried. Maybe I could guess 50%, but I'm impressed with the whole 67%. Maybe it doesn't take much to impress me, but about being scared. I say don't be. It takes some adjusting in the beginning, but after that it's all the better with 2. Maybe I'm just blocking out the hard times, that could be, but you're going to have fun with little Betsy!

I am so excited for you - you are going to be great and you are defiantly getting lots of practice with teenagers! You are going to be the specialist :)

Mandy,

I wish I was where you were already! Pregnancy is not my favorite thing. I can understand about that teenage phase...good luck! Did you come up with a name yet?

Hi there, Just want to tell ya that it's not so bad with two. I was terrified and it is actually pretty easy. My hands are more full with simeon than brigham. Laney is so darn cute!
