Taking suggestions and clearing a few things up

First off, I only went to Sacrament meeting and that was because I was it was the ward I grew up in. And by getting ready, I mean I take a shower and pull my hair up. Showering everyday helps me feel not quite so tired and that I am doing something. Today was the first day that I really feel like I "got ready" since having Allie. So all of you who think I am going above and beyond, I am not really doing that much. I just like to make myself sound good!

Second, my mom left today. I cried at the airport as she so lovingly told me that I was a good mom and that I would be just fine. I have teared up a few times since, but I think I am going to make it! Thanks again mom for coming up to help us, taking me home with you, and driving back up with me. Not too many moms would squish in between 2 car seats in the back of an Integra to entertain their grandkids. You are the best!

Third, and most important, I need some suggestions. I am on the Enrichment committee and we are having our Super Saturday in a week and a half. I am supposed to come up with some neighbor gift ideas for the holiday season. I have some but am just wondering if any of you have some good ideas. Since I know how creative most of you are, I will be anxious to hear your replies!

You are so funny, I love how honest you are in your blogs. I bet you are a great mom, and your children are adooooooorable!!! You are making me nervous to have another one, thank goodness I am waiting to get pregnant, I can hardly handle the one I have!!

You sound like you are doing great! It takes a little adjustment, but two kids really isn't too difficult--it's the adjustment that is.

Also, for the ideas for your Enrichment, have Erich use his vinyl cutter to cut out a cute santa and the words "santa's cookies", then stick them on a clear plate from the dollar store, and there you have a cute plate for your neighbors topped with cookies.

There is a picture on my website if you want to look.

Why don't you do those vynal (is that how you spell it?) signs? You could do Christmas ones if that is what the gifts are for. Or just have people sign up to do the family name ones with "Families are forever" across it. You've seen those right? Anyway that might be an easy one for you. You can by the wood at quilted bear or Michaels and your hubby could do the letters.

I like the idea of carmel corn balls or chocolate dipped pretzels or fresh pine wreaths.

Last year Design Mom suggested ordering pineapples from Costco and tying a cute bow around it. Easy and practical and kind of exotic.

This isn't something you can use for super saturday... but it will take a lot less time! A few years ago we started early and tried to figure out our neighbor's and friend's favorite flavors of ice cream. Then I picked up quarts from Baskin Robbins and tied cute bows and a card around them. They all loved them. So easy!!

i always think those cute cannery jars with layers of ingredients to make a yummy treat are cool (cookies, etc...)

Did you say neighbor gifts? I love neighbor gifts! You know there's always the chocolate covered popcorn, and the turtle pretzels, but I've always thought homemade salsa and a bag of christmas chips(the ones they die red and green) would be cute. Also I've seen where you take a metal cookie cutter in a Christmas shape, and pour homemade fudge into, then when it dries you have fudge and a cookie cutter, wrap it in celophane with a cute ribbon and you have a cute neighbor gift!
