Christmas Carols of my life

In the spirit of the season, I thought I would relate some of the Christmas carols that I hear all day long to our life.

Winter Wonderland, Let It Snow, and I am Dreaming of a White Christmas. That is how the weather has been in Utah for the past few weeks. One day last week, the snow finally melted off of my lawn. That night, we received another 3 or 4 inches. I am sick of it. It is a pain to drive in and even a bigger pain to take my kids places in. And I am just sick of being cold. It makes me want to move to a warm climate (I am trying to persuade Erich!) I think I complained so much about it that Erich decided to give me a nice Christmas present that will be mentioned with my next song.

I'll Be Home for Christmas. Because of our terrible weather, Erich agreed to take the family to AZ for Christmas. On Saturday we packed the kids in the car and made the trek to Phoenix. The girls were great and we have enjoyed being with some family members since. We are enjoying warmer weather and the girls love their cousins. (Their cousins love them and take special care of each of them!)

Silent Night. That is what I am hoping for tonight. Laney and Allie both have colds. So last night I heard Laney coughing throughout the night and Allie woke up about 5 with some gas issues. Luckily, she ate and went back to bed. About 7 I heard Laney yelling, "Mama. Daddy." She was very pleased when I rescued her from her bed. And I was glad to hear her call for us by name.

Blue Christmas. I dedicate this girl to my daughters' cute, matching, Christmas dresses. I was very blue about an hour into our drive when I realized that I left their dresses at our house. Luckily, I have gotten over it. They did get to wear them once in December and I will let them wear them all winter but I am still sad they didn't get to where them yesterday for church.

We wish you a Merry Christmas. That is what we wish to each of you. We are grateful for the Christmas season. We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate the birth of our Savior. We feel blessed to have such wonderful friends and family and love you all. For the many of you who we won't get to see this holiday season, know that we love you. Have a very, merry day tomorrow!
