Allie at 8 months

I can't believe Allie is 8 months old. She is growing up too fast. And all of her actions show that she is really closer to toddler than baby. Makes me sad.

Allie likes to be all over the place. She cruises around all day on hands and knees. And she loves to pull herself up on everything. She would prefer to be in standing position than sitting. And I worry that too soon she will be standing on her own.

She can put down quite a bit of food. While she doesn't love green veggies, she seems pretty content with anything else. She has some issues with self-feeding because when she tries to put the food in her mouth, she sometimes puts her thumb in there instead. Hopefully she will figure out that the food is better than the thumb soon.

Allie thinks she is a fish as well. At the city pool, she was crawling all over the place in the water. She kept trying to crawl to the deeper water as well. (It is a little scary to me that neither of my kids have any fear of water.)

She has started babbling non-stop.

She has a contagious laugh. Whenever she is laughing, Laney quickly comes to see what is so funny.

She is an easy going baby and a really easy going sleeper. I mentioned shortly after moving that the girls were sharing a room and waking up super early. Well, I decided I had to separate them. Laney gets to stay in the room because she sleeps in a bed. Allie starts out in one of my brothers rooms and then is transferred to the living room between 9 and 10. She doesn't seem bothered by it at all. And everyone is sleeping a lot better.

She is pretty much all smiles and a delight to have.

She is such a cute, easy going thing.

She is so adorable. They do grow up too fast. I'm hoping Claire is a late crawler like Ella, so at least it seems like she is a baby for a little longer.

I can't believe how fast your kids are growing up and we miss you! I still haven't gotten the hang of this secretarial thing and I have to follow in your amazing footsteps. Thanks for setting the bar so high!

Hope everything is going well.
