Date Night

The girls I teach were putting on a play tonight.  They have been asking me to come to the play and have been asking me to bring my kids to school.  So tonight I tried to kill two birds with one stone- Laney and I went to the play together.  I have been telling her we were going on a date tonight for a few days and tonight she got rather anxious to go.  We put on a dress and left in the car.  The entire time we were in the car, she kept asking me where we were going on our date.  We stopped and bought some water and m&ms as bribery before heading to the play.  Lucky for me, she pretty much sat on her chair the entire play and clapped at all the right places.   She had enough patience to talk to a few students afterwards and then she was ready to come home.  It was fun to spend a little alone time with Laney.  We might have to have date night more often.
