Today Laney was asked to give the scripture and closing prayer in primary. I went up to help her. We made it through the scripture just fine. The prayer was a different story.
It started fine, I would say something and she would repeat. We got through the standards like "Heavenly Father, thank you for this day. And for primary. And for our teachers."
And then I said, "Help us to obey."
And she looked at me and said (loud enough for everyone in the room to hear) "Mom, I can do it by myself."
And then she started over with "Heavenly Father Thank you for everything. . . pause, pause, Mom, I need your help." The pianist, myself, and a few others in the room almost all lost it.
I quickly prompted her with "help us to be good, We love you." And closed the prayer.

I tell you, primary is the place to be. I get my weekly dose of humor every Sunday.

very cute Mandonian. When does little Clinton make his appearance?
Kid always seem to know when to make their original comments, when Mom is on the spot and everybody is listening.
