Laney and Allie are slightly obsessed with bugs. So we bought them an ant farm. For the first week or two, they were obsessed. And then Erich left town for 2 weeks and Laney started being scared of it. She would wake me up in the middle of the night because she was scared of it. (Might be because Erich gave the girls this huge talk about not touching the container because the ants might get out and get them.) I finally had to hide the ants in my closet and tell Laney that they were having a sleepover somehwere else. And now they are all almost dead. Nonethless, it has been a fun little pet/experiment for the girls.

The blue stuff is the gel that came in the farm. The ants tunnel through it and eat it. (it's made for them to eat and live off.)
